These cassettes are identical to the M490 cassettes but the anterior writing surface has a 45° instead of a 30° angle. The more acute angle makes these cassettes more suitable to be used with some models of cassette labelling equipment.

The M498 disposable cassettes have a one-piece integral lid that snaps off and locks into the base of the cassette. They can be opened or closed as often as necessary and they always relock securely without danger of specimen loss.

Histosette® I cassettes are designed to hold tissue specimens during the embedding process as well as in a storage file and are completely resistant to histological solvents. Made of acetal polymer. Each case contains 3 dispenser boxes of 500 cassettes.
